Oh, the agony of being PeeCee and caught in the middle of this one:-

Teachers drop the Holocaust to avoid offending Muslims

Schools are dropping the Holocaust from history lessons to avoid offending Muslim pupils, a Governmentbacked study has revealed.

It found some teachers are reluctant to cover the atrocity for fear of upsetting students whose beliefs include Holocaust denial.

There is also resistance to tackling the 11th century Crusades - where Christians fought Muslim armies for control of Jerusalem - because lessons often contradict what is taught in local mosques.

The findings have prompted claims that some schools are using history ‘as a vehicle for promoting political correctness’.

The study, funded by the Department for Education and Skills, looked into ‘emotive and controversial’ history teaching in primary and secondary schools.

It found some teachers are dropping courses covering the Holocaust at the earliest opportunity over fears Muslim pupils might express anti-Semitic and anti-Israel reactions in class.

Putin privileges Russian workers

Posted by Guessedworker on Monday, 02 April 2007 23:02.

The government needs to be sending a signal that it is not acceptable to discriminate against non-Russians. It should not be participating.  The irony is that in the Soviet era Russia was famous for promoting “friendship between peoples”, hosting large numbers of students from the developing world.  But now that slogan seems to have been turned on its head.  It is now Russia for Russians.

Allison Gill, head of the Moscow office of Human Rights Watch, following the coming into effect yesterday of a law reserving retail jobs for ethnic Russians.

From the Independent:-

Russia bans foreign workers from retail jobs

The legislation, which has been described as state-sponsored racism by human rights activists, bans non-Russians from working in large chunks of the country’s retail sector.

In particular it prevents anyone who doesn’t hold a Russian passport from working in Russia’s huge indoor and outdoor food-and-clothing markets and in the thousands of roadside kiosks that sell anything from newspapers to cosmetics. Such jobs are usually low paid and involve working at least 12-hour days.

Until yesterday, it was not uncommon to visit a market staffed exclusively by migrant workers from across the former Soviet Union. But, as of yesterday, hundreds of thousands of migrant workers from countries such as Georgia, Azerbaijan and Tajikistan are looking for a new job.

In Russia’s Far East, where such positions have typically been filled by Chinese migrant workers, the impact was felt immediately. Many of them appear to have already packed their bags and returned home.

At Ussuriysk’s vast market near the Chinese border, almost all the stalls were reported to be deserted. “We had hoped good sense would prevail ... This could disrupt the economy and bring many problems,” said Sergei Simakov, a district councillor from Ussuriysk.

Some commentators have raised fears that prices may rise as employers are forced to pay higher wages and have questioned whether ethnic Russians will be willing to take up jobs that entail such long hours. At Moscow’s famous Dorogomilovsky food market several stalls were denuded of their usually exotic mixture of fruit and vegetables from across the vast region. In their place hung signs that read: “Wanted: Sales-people. Must be Russian.”

Officials from the country’s migration service raided a Moscow market yesterday. That is a sign that the Kremlin expects the new law to be scrupulously followed. Four foreign workers were detained.

A spokesman for the Federal Migration Service said the raid proved that the new law was effective. “Considering that this particular market has 1,200 trading stalls and only four foreigners were detected you can conclude that in general the law is working.” The Kremlin insists that there is nothing racist about the law that it says is intended to protect the rights of ethnic Russians, who have complained of being squeezed out of the retail sector by migrant workers.

The law and the Conservative Party are gay

Posted by Guessedworker on Monday, 02 April 2007 16:52.

The evolution of language often disaccomodates those who love and value their culture.  But usage changes continually, and sometimes whole rafts of linguistic fashion disappear in a matter of a few years - one thinks of the disappearance of received English, and the class attitudes associated with it, from the BBC’s airwaves in the 1960s.

But it’s another matter when language is not really evolving at all but has been expropriated for politically disreputable ends.  The disaccomodation is severe.  It occasions real anger.  What right, for example, had politically-organised sodomists to take possession of that old and useful three-letter English word beginning with “g”, and employ it against the unnappeasable conviction that homosexuality is at best tragic?  What right has anyone to coerce the majority to think in their way, and only in their way?

Still, there are moments even here when “the best-laid schemes o’ mice an ‘men gang aft agley”, and anger among the abused majority can give way to something approaching mirth.  And never is that more true than when the “ganging agley” is done by the hand of innocent, apolitical children.

The young don’t know anything about the culture wars of my generation.  They don’t know how Marxist progressives systematically prostituted language to redefine and limit debate on their own terms.  They don’t know that stigmatising the “stigmatisers” was an end in itself for these vile people.  They don’t know that they are supposed to be the harbingers of a new dawn when men and women will bestride the Earth freed from all too, too native humanity.  As if.

They don’t know any of that.  So when they discover that there are men out there who like other men in what is obviously the wrong way, they express their distaste in the time-honoured fashion.  They prostitute language to redefine and limit debate on their own terms.  It’s just not the language our social engineers would want to see prostituted.  You gotta laugh!

Police send four police officers to tackle boy, 11, who called schoolmate ‘gay’

When two policemen turned up unannounced at Alan Rawlinson’s home asking to speak to his young son, the company director feared something serious had happened.

So he was astounded when the officers detailed 11-year-old George’s apparent crime - calling one of his schoolfriends ‘gay’.

They said primary school pupil, George, was being investigated for a ‘very serious’ homophobic crime after using the comment in an e-mail to a 10-year-old classmate.

Cheshire police launched the investigation last month after a complaint from the parents of the 10-year-old younger boy who received George’s e-mail.

They said their son had been called a ‘gay boy’ and were concerned that there was more to the comment than playground banter and that their child was being bullied.

As a consequence, two officers were sent to the boys’ school, Farnworth Primary, in Widnes, Cheshire, to speak to the headteacher who directed them to the Rawlinsons’ home in nearby St Helens, Merseyside.

George told his parents that the comment was in no way meant to be homophobic and that he had simply been using the word gay instead of ‘stupid’.

Mr Rawlinson, 41, who runs his own business, and whose wife, Gaynor, also 41, is a magistrate, said his son was terrified when the police arrived at their home.

He feared he was going to be arrested and locked up in a cell because of it, he added.  “I feel very aggrieved about this,” Mr Rawlinson, who has lodged a formal complaint against the police, said.

April Fools!—Not

Posted by James Bowery on Monday, 02 April 2007 02:48.

Apparently this is a story about Ayn Rand’s brother, Mendel:

A HOLOCAUST survivor jailed for his part in a £6.9million money laundering scam was yesterday freed as “an act of mercy”.

While in prison Mendel Rand, 87, had suffered nightmares and flashbacks to his wartime ordeal.

As a boy in Krakow, Poland, he had hidden from the Nazis in dark cellars with little food.

Mr Rand, from Golders Green, North London, had his 18-month jail term replaced with a suspended sentence at the Court of Appeal in London.

It would be a great April Fools joke except the only part that isn’t true is my comment that he is related to Ayn Rand.

Austin Chronicle: The US Heartland’s Fury Seethes

Posted by James Bowery on Sunday, 01 April 2007 14:48.

Michael Ventura of the Austin Chronicle writes:

These people are watching their towns die. Watching their way of life die. They are living the end of their dream, and they didn’t believe that could happen. Like their ancestors, they’ve worked hard and hard and hard. They’ve played by the rules, believed the right things, worshipped the proper God, lived as they deeply felt life should be lived, and they’re losing everything that matters to them. And there’s nothing they can do about it except to keep working hard, because that’s all they know. They’re losing a way of life because of forces beyond their ken. Giant agribusiness, globalization, politicians selling them out, a tidal wave of history sweeping them away. Republicans and right-wing demagogues play to them, so they vote for Republicans. But it doesn’t help. Liberals and Democrats rarely come to talk to them, and still more rarely talk with them – why, then, would they vote for liberals and Democrats? “Blue state” snobs make jokes about the stupid “red states.” These rural people are not stupid. They’re furious. Time has passed them by, and they don’t know why. They’ve done and been everything that they were taught to do and be, and it’s come to nothing. That’s what liberals don’t get. These people are furious, and they’ve got something to be furious about, however much their fury may be misdirected. They want somebody to blame – a useless but human need.

So I walk into their Kansas diner, and in my differentness I become an instant symbol of what’s pulling them down. Their kids are leaving town, their towns are dying, their leaders are failing them, they’re helpless to stop it. They expected to live prosperously in these places for centuries – their courthouses were built to last centuries. They’re losing it all, and there’s no one to give a damn. They didn’t believe this could happen – could not conceive that their time would be so short and that their toil would be futile and that their dreams would die so hard.

What Mr. Ventura didn’t say is that the kids didn’t just leave town… they moved to the cities trying to find another way of life and failed to form families that could support children as “blue state” real estate prices soared.  Demographic collapse is more than just the loss of a way of life.  When it is accompanied by deliberate policies of race replacement, it is genocide far more effective than anything Jews claim Germans did to them.

And by the way, regarding those kids moving to the cities to expend the last of their people’s vital force:

Cui bono?

Black Athlete, Jesse Owens, Received Greatest Ovations of His Career From Nazis

Posted by James Bowery on Friday, 30 March 2007 07:07.

Several other misconceptions about the 1936 Olympics are prevalent. Not only was Owens not rebuffed by Hitler, Owens wasn’t shunned by the German audience at the Berlin stadium either. Baker reports that Owens so captured the imagination of the crowd it gave him several ear-shattering ovations. Owens had been prepared for a hostile reception; a coach had warned him in advance not to be upset by anything that might happen in the stands. “Ignore the insults,” Owens was told, “and you’ll be all right.” Later Owens recalled that he had gotten the greatest ovations of his career at Berlin.

Some “Holocaust Denial” historian?

No.  It’s from Rick Shenkman, George Mason University associate professor of history, excerpted from his “Legends, Lies and Cherished Myths of American History”.

When will we see this portrayed honestly in a movie complete with Hitler waving to a victorious Jesse Owens and Owens waving back, as attested by Owens?

And about what else are “they” lying to us?

Genetic structure and Outbreeding Depression

Posted by James Bowery on Thursday, 29 March 2007 03:42.

Quoting INBREEDING DEPRESSION AND OUTBREEDING DEPRESSION by Michael Lynch

Outbreeding depression

This phenomenon can occur in two ways. One way is by the "swamping" of locally adapted genes in a wild population by straying from, for example, a hatchery population. In this case, adaptive gene complexes in wild populations are simply being displaced by the immigration of genes that are adapted to the hatchery environment or to some other locality. For example, selection in one population might produce a large body size, whereas in another population small body size might be more advantageous. Gene flow between these populations may lead to individuals with intermediate body sizes, which may not be adaptive in either population. A second way outbreeding depression can occur is by the breakdown of biochemical or physiological compatibilities between genes in the different populations. Within local, isolated populations, alleles are selected for their positive, overall effects on the local genetic background.

Due to nonadditive gene action, the same genes may have rather different average effects in different genetic backgrounds—hence, the potential evolution of locally coadapted gene complexes. Offspring between parents from two different populations may have phenotypes that are not good for any environment. It is important to keep in mind that these two mechanisms of outbreeding depression can be operating at the same time. However, determining which mechanism is more important in a particular population is very difficult.

In other words, genetic structure, aka, genetic correlation structure is more than additional ethnic genetic interest—it can be function, hence loss of that structure results in loss of function resulting in outbreeding depression.

Of course, the answer from vectorists that insist on imposing panmixia on populations with high rates of recessive genes is that inbreeding depression is more of a danger and that outbreeding enhancement swamps the effects from outbreeding depression.  Their evidence?  Well they don’t really need any since they have the government force on their side—so they needn’t pay attention to this additional paraphraph:

Evidence for outbreeding depression is much less extensive than evidence for inbreeding depression, but outbreeding depression is nevertheless a general genetic phenomenon. One problem in studying outbreeding depression is the number of generations that may occur before outbreeding depression reveals itself. The effects of outbreeding enhancement due to the masking of deleterious alleles and outbreeding depression due to hybrid breakdown may cancel each other in the first generation after crossing individuals from two populations. So the effects of outbreeding depression may not be apparent for a few generations.

They just know that inbreeding is more of a problem than outbreeding—and that’s why they’re “justified” in imposing outbreeding on populations with government force and technologically amplified panmixia.

How to get wiped out intellectually in one easy lesson - Updated 29.03.07 (and updated again)

As I’ve mentioned before, I hang around Troy Southgate’s New Right Forum a fair bit, shooting up the clouds when there’s nothing else to do.  By and large I am a rather disruptive presence, I think, behaving particularly badly towards a white American Moslem (who’s never done anything to upset me!) and one or two other “creatures of the right”.  But tonight I got my chance to put up (a proper argument) or shut up.  I put up, of course, and now wait to be attacked ... or ignored.  If it isn’t the latter I’ll update the following accordingly.

The thread was about a new post on revisionism at Welf Herfurth’s New Right Australia/New Zealand blog.  Welf is in the habit of announcing new posts, which are usually very long (not as long as this, though) and often interesting, on Troy’s Forum.  On this occasion he added some afterthoughts, amongst which was this:-
